O Castanheiro Boutique Hotel é resultado de um cuidadoso restauro arquitetónico combinando um design inovador com altos padrões de serviço, onde a gastronomia e a atenção ao cliente são ponto de honra a cada momento da estadia. Com 81 quartos e situado no centro histórico da cidade, tem como ex-libris uma piscina panorâmica com uma vista soberba sobre a baía do Funchal.
Este conceito inovador compreende a junção e restauro de cinco prédios, alguns deles classificados, levando o visitante numa viagem através de três séculos de história e de arquitetura urbana. A experiência começa num singular edifício do século XVIII, outrora uma padaria comunitária, estendendo-se até uma mansão senhorial do século XIX e a mais três prédios do início do século XX, num intricado e curioso percurso onde dominam quintais, pátios e terraços. Com a particularidade de incluir materiais originais, peças restauradas e um design inovador, o Castanheiro Boutique Hotel é único no seu género, no que respeita à diversidade e qualidade da oferta.

Description

In the heart of the historic part of Funchal, just a few steps away from the City Hall square, this
four star hotel arose from an innovative concept blending design, detailed architectural
restoration and a welcoming atmosphere. With 81 rooms, it boasts a lap pool where guests
will enjoy panoramic views overlooking the Bay of Funchal, two steps away from the main
shops, museums, restaurants and bars in the city.
This unique hotel concept comprises five historically classified buildings that lead guests on a
journey through three centuries of Funchal. The experience begins in a classified building of
18th century where once was handcrafts ateliers, and makes its transition to the 19th century
mansion of a wealthy family of Funchal linked to mercantile trade. From the inner courtyards it
accesses three buildings of the beginning of 20th century, where once was operating a
typography company and an industry of embroidery. The result is a first-of-its-kind boutique
hotel in the historic part of the city.
